Love Gone Wrong Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Love Gone Wrong

You had gotten jealous when I asked of another friend
I admit I thought it was some kind of strange
that you worried about it so much
that you wanted me all to yourself
But the thing is we never once dated
and we weren't together either
So what's your reason for inquiring about it
Ain't no need and asking questions, When we weren't together
But as I begun spending time
We'd grown closer eventually I started to fall in love
And there became a little problem that have only gotten worse
I know they say, What you won't know? won't hurt you
Than gone through the disagreements following that threats
Still it didn't cause no unnecessary anger or heartache
I'd forgive you only because I knew you weren't mine
And I didn't want you as someone who'd belong to me only
This sudden change came over you, Wanting full control
Wrong one here, If only you've communicated with me more
I wouldn't have to doubt your true intentions
Leading me to eventually say goodbye to you a little too soon
