Love Has Gone Poem by Valerie Dohren

Love Has Gone

All time has passed and love has gone,
just memories to think upon.
The years have flown, with life complete,
and all that's left - to weep, to weep.

With no-one there to love or care,
no hand to hold nor dreams to share,
all time flies fast, but moves so slow -
there's nowhere fixed, no place to go.

The clock, the clock, yet counting time,
to hear it tick, to hear it chime -
still moving on, still moving on,
but love has gone, yes love has gone.

With no-one there to touch or hold -
the sun is dim, all days wax cold,
as night-time's gloom yields not to sleep
and all that's left, to weep, to weep.

For eyes tight closed keep out the light -
Another night, another night.
All time flies fast, but moves so slow -
there's nowhere fixed, no place to go.

The heart beats weak, the heart beats weak,
For all is lost, no words to speak -
just memories to think upon,
as love has gone, yes love has gone.
