Love Has No Price, Love Is Priceless Poem by Hebert Logerie

Love Has No Price, Love Is Priceless

I would give up everything for your beautiful eyes and your pretty smile:
Castles, carts, diamonds, gold, rubies, emerald, myrrh, and sapphire.
Love has no price, love is priceless, and it comes slyly after God.
Honey, let me tell you again that your smile makes me very happy.

Mignonne, in the depths of your eyes shine rays of happiness.
Ronsard was right: we must now pluck the roses of life,
Everything passes and shall pass like the seasons, like the flowers
Of a morning that are confused and riddled with ironies and sadness.

Venus, I wonder if I am dreaming. I am deep at the bottom of the sea,
Surrounded by sharks, porpoises, seals and bears in the middle of winter.
Suddenly, the echo of your voice, in the hollow of my ears, makes me stronger
Than the malicious attackers; I am standing tall at the zenith of a great fort.

You are the only woman on earth who can see the greatness of my heart.
Everything passes and shall pass like the breeze, like the seasonal flowers.
Mignonne, let me remind you again that my great love for you is priceless.
I will give up everything for you if you ignore the deafening cries of the goats.
