Love In A Mist Poem by John Leroy Maxwell

Love In A Mist

The dawn rolled into the arena of wordly delight
For it was I being witness to your passing along the pathway
Casting your beauty, carelessly, pleasingly
The rising sun glorified your vanquishing smile
And I blindfolded by charm, failed to see your thorns
of temptable trickery
Here now stands the night
Love lies bleeding
