Violet Eyes Poem by John Leroy Maxwell

Violet Eyes

She walked erect, and carefully chose,
the stoney path, beneath her toes
Head held high, flaming red hair, loose
flowing gown, and pretentious stare
A virtual stranger, although you've met,
she is one enigma you'll ne'er forget
Whispering auras enveloped her grace,
and hypnotic Violet Eyes enhanced her face
Just one look and she'd capture your heart
You'd be locked in Love, and ne'er depart
A breath of air, a time or two, then she
whisked into the blue
Rainbow Stairs she left for you, to follow her,
you must ensue
She'll wait for you up in the skies, and
lock you in, with her Violet Eyes
