Paths traverse in life
as you ramble through your days
One looks for fellowship and company
to fill the empty spaces

You ask and wait
You give and take
Comfort and trust
Rely and support
Sharing all that is you

Emotions expand and kindle
The hearth blazes to new life
So you look in the mirror to find the reflection
And without even know when
You have lost your heart to a friend
And as I heard you whisper my name
I knew our friendship was on fire
