Love Is Poem by David Taylor

Love Is

Rating: 5.0

They stood there
timeless, frozen
as a heron perched
attention unwavering
hands damp
and hearts on sleeves
with mouths not knowing
if they are moist or dry
and words failing
to reach their tongues
they spoke intently
with their eyes
two minds merged
in a single stream
and dived deep
without thought
of breath
or life.
Love is.
