Love Is A Waste Of Time - Poem by Leslie Alexis

I’m stuck in a dream
That’s made of hot air
Quickly moving, uncomfortable
Full of despair.

My love’s heart is leaving,
Might truly be gone
I want to keep believing
But believing could be wrong.

We promised forever
Forever and a day,
We said that we’d never…
Shit. Shit. Shit. SHIT!
I really should be strong,
But the way I love her
Strength could be wrong.

If heaven is my home,
If it was destined from birth
I have nothing to live for
Bury me in the dirt.
