Love Is - Poem by Leslie Alexis
Love is that thing,
That thing that surpasses desire,
That is self sustained,
That births to more of itself each day.
Love is what sees a petal as beautiful
Beautiful when attached to the tree,
And beautiful after the harvest.
Love is that part that conquers and appreciates,
Holding in its palms that which is special to it.
Love isn't driven by desire,
For desire is of this world
Love is, and forever will be eternal.
