Love Is Never All Red Roses © Poem by Roann Mendriq

Love Is Never All Red Roses ©

Rating: 5.0

Love is never all red roses,
Love is not just rubbing noses;
Love is strong, invincible,
Love faces the despicable;
And conquers hearts of clay and stone,
and seeks to find the lost, unknown;
And never quails at falling thrice,
Love always pays the complete price.
For love is patient, kind and pure,
and in the end, love will endure.

And love is apt to age with grace,
like Grandma's ancient, gentle face.
With worry wrinkles, lines of care,
that make a glance, a fervent prayer;
And love is rarely blemish free,
Tho' it might start on bended knee;
Love that seeks to never end,
Trivial troubles will transcend.
Love is loving, kind not terse,
For Love is better and for verse...

Beautiful love poem embellished in poetic rhyme and rhythm. An insightful portrayal of mighty spiritual experience that is love - a voyage of bliss, elegantly brought forth with conviction. Thanks for sharing Roann.
