Love, It Is On The Peninsula Of Hope Poem by Mark Heathcote

Love, It Is On The Peninsula Of Hope

Love, it is on the peninsula of hope.
Failing to drown, I scan the horizon,
There is nothing like some distant objectivity.
To clear the mind and blow away the cobwebs
It's here I can reflect and enjoy the sunset.

See the moon and count my lucky stars.
Bless that siren who wails my name.
And if she returns,
I will take that near-death plunge again.
With the swish of a merman's tail.
