The water vast and blue
I sink my toes into the sand
Whilst I dream of you

I wonder where you're going
Also where you've been
And how long I must wait
To see your face again

The sky is clear and azure
The seagulls swiftly glide
I sigh so deep as I know
Can't wish you to my side

Do you feel like I feel?
Has this emptiness set in?
I ache so much
I need the touch
Of your hands upon my skin

I wrote some letters in the sand
Those etched upon my heart
Although the waves washed those away
My love for you won't part

When evening came upon the seashore
And the moon's glow shone so bright
I envision you are near me
Wish you could hold me tight

I wrote them just for you and I
