Love Me, Love My Dog! Poem by Denis Martindale

A dog can be a faithful friend, not just a wagging tail,
A dog on which you can depend, whose love will never fail.
A dog can make you smile again, at first with puppy eyes,
A dog is something you can train because it really tries.

A man can serve God night and day, yet not always show love,
A man can trust God and obey, until he's had enough.
A man can choose no more to pray, as if no more the same,
A man can sigh, then walk away, and live a life of shame.

Yet God will show His love for Man and for each dog as well,
Yet God will always have a plan to save each man from Hell.
Yet God is patient and He waits, salvation in each hand,
Yes, God is One who celebrates each time we understand.

So be a man and turn to Christ, receive amazing grace,
The King of Love once sacrificed to save the Human Race.
No man should live without the Lord, or all the love He sends,
And blessed are Christians in accord as God's forever friends.
