Of sugar maple tree
Wait for autumn
To change orange
Colour of their
Old summer dresses
Into vermilion red.
But holding breath
My skin longs to
Blush beneath your
Softest fingertips
For telling the world
Love needs no season
To paint crimson
On a lover's cheeks.
