Love Note 112 - Poem by Michael P. McParland
Just after noon my dear lady
and I'm laying here in bed
trying to rest but no luck at all.
I'm quite hungry too but
don't feel like getting up
to make some food,
I couldn't down more than a
bite or two anyway so it doesn't matter.
I'm just laying here thinking
of you and hoping you're well
and enjoying my poetry,
one of the thoughts that still
gives me full cheer and a smile
is you reading it and loving what
is there with a smile,
your heart touched as you feel
the love in my scrawlings.
I hope you feel all of my
warmth and my love I'm sending to you.
That you feel me beside you
holding your hand.
You're not alone my sweet Angel
I'm here for you always and want
to help you in all that you need.
I'm wrapping my arms around you
for a tight reassuring loving squeeze,
I'm burying my face in your shoulder
to hide from the world for just a minute.
You are my guardian Angel, best friend,
soul mate, and beloved protector.
I'll love you forever and ever.
Have the best of afternoons and
feel all of my love.
Time for me to rest some more
replacing the sleep that won't come.
I miss you insanely and need you bad,
I love you my Angel come and
get me wraped up in your arms
my Queen and only one.
