Love Refuses Poem by Terence George Craddock

Love Refuses

love refuses
to take form
refuses to configure
into appealing shapes
refuses to take
composing elements
transcending shape shifting
into heart yearning love

no design foundation
coherent can weave
poles apart thoughts
minds hearts lives
into binding lovers
no poem pattern

romantic passionate can rhyme
sing love throughout enduring
time for two souls lacking
spark igniting fuels
can never flame stone hearts
cannot love burn
the moon shines
no mystery illuminous

love light
the sky a starless
veil spans
all horizons
broods
in void abstinence

trees leafless
stand in naked
indifference
to winter wind gusts
wind gusts
stir spread desolation silences
in a landscape love discards
refuses to habitat
