Love's Grip Poem by Kathryn Allen

Love's Grip

Here we go again
Emotions flooding in
Seeing you, it kills me
It never leaves me be

I wish I didn't love you
I wish I didn't feel so blue
Why can't I just move on?
Have my feelings just be gone

Oh those eyes so beautiful
Why must love be so cruel
Those arms so soft and loving
Why must I be nothing?

I wish i didn't dream
Things arn't what they seem
I wish i could just up and die
Leave love's grip and it's lie
