Love's Ride Poem by Trade Martin

Love's Ride

Hazy visions…., a while ago….,
When we took Love’s Ride….,
How could we know….? ? ?
Movin’ much too fast…., without concern….,
If it would last…., but we did learn.

Mixed emotions….,
As we said goodbye….,
It had to end…., but why pretend….,
We’d both take Love’s Ride again….! ! !

For a Moment…., we had it all….,
Who’d thought we’d hear…,
Heartache’s call….,
Though our best times….,
Didn’t last too long….,
Fond memories….,
Wrote this forlorn song…! ! !

Bittersweet feelings…, we felt back then….,
And the joy was worth the pain….,
Still it’s so true…, you’d admit it too…,
We’d both take Love’s Ride again….! ! !

Mixed emotions….,
As we said goodbye….,
It had to end…., but why pretend….,
We’d both take Love’s Ride again….! ! !

Given one more chance…., no matter when…,
There’s no doubt in my mind…,
We’d both take Love’s Ride again….,
Yes, we’d both take Love’s Ride again….! ! !
