Love's Sensations Poem by Barry Middleton

Love's Sensations

Rating: 4.5

her eyes
beyond the beauty of the rose
were yet soft petals
of devotion

her hands
much like a sparrow's wing
were a feather's whisper
on my cheek

her voice
like the warm breath of summer
fanned the flame
of desire

her kiss
as essential as a heartbeat
was of life itself
an intoxicant
