no more norms
White House storms.
down the road a lynch mob forms.
the racist right
is out tonight.
no more robes but in plain sight.
great again?
hate and sin?
this is where the tears begin.
cries of grief
no relief.
reactionaries beyond my belief.
war is coming
thunder drumming.
in the streets the blood is running.
what's in store?
civil war?
is this what we bargained for?

This beautiful poem is a reflection of the concerns of all peace-loving men and women of the world. Nicely articulated and presented. This goes into MyPoemList. Thanks. I would like to quote: what's in store? civil war? is this what we bargained for?

I can't help but wonder if this world will ever get it together. All my life U have hoped for peace and unity and here we are. Thanks for the comment Kumarrmani.
I hear the drums beating in your poem; very well done, When are people going to remember and learn from history? Guess we are getting old when we say Never Again.

A stirring poem and photo image. Your poem reminds me of Langston Hughes' poem 'Let America be America Again'. The theme is similar, and you have touched a raw nerve in there somewhere.
