Love Sonnet 113: 'That Song, So Sweet, Sweet Music To My Heart, '

Rating: 5.0

That song, so sweet, sweet music to my heart,
Has played so many times to my delight,
Or countless since the time my daydreams start,
As they persist to also drone each night;
It might occur that such a tune is rote,
Variation yet could have been made, I fear,
For there's a chance for me to miss a note
Each time the object of the song comes near;
But wondered I, what melody results,
Should she herself move close, so close to me,
And as a consequence my heart exults?
I grant not knowing, I have yet to see;
…….Experience should recount all of the moods,
…….It could feel what the telling oft excludes.
