Love Story Poem by John Thorkild Ellison

Love Story

Rating: 3.0

'I love you very much, ' she said,
'Let's snuggle up in your single bed! '

'It's nice to know you really care
My little naked teddy bare!

'Let's have some fun before we're old!
You feel so warm! The night is cold!

'The hungry stars above us shine,
But I am yours and you are mine,

We'll get married very soon
And have a fantastic honeymoon! '

A happy groom! A happy bride!
She said that she was satisfied -
It was kind of her, but he knew she lied -

How suddenly their love had died! !

Well, romantic love is a rare bit of self-indulgence. But the species must continue somehow!
