(love The Way) My Day Has All Gone Wrong. Poem by Maxwell B Anderson

(love The Way) My Day Has All Gone Wrong.

I love the way you drive
too fast
and I love the way you drive,
too slow.
I have the mindless joy of seeing you
that way,
and you dont know.

I watched when you are smilin at nothin'
and you do your lashes
'just right', and
you dont wear too much, to conceal
Or not enough, to reveal
moistened lips
pressed on my mouth
loving inside of me.

There was a time when
I thought I could be beside you
or I'd die.
Now there's no distance anywhere
that will be too close
or too far, for me.

Cornered I see, with the fight in me
almost gone;
The slashing into the foe, I know,
is not her,
but an evil doppler
doin wrong...And that
sort of half scares me

Lara Croft-style psycho mumblings
and assaults
cruise through my first thoughts.
I fight them off,
and love YOU,
again.
Love the way, the day,
nearly went.
