Love (Valentine's Day} Poem by U Win Kyi

Love (Valentine's Day}

Today is Valentine's Day.
My boyfriend gives me a rose bouquet,
and a box of chocolate,
in heart-shape and beautifully packed.
He takes me to a grand hotel,
where the food has good taste and smell,
the bath-tub is filled with water and rose petals.
the dining room is so romantic,
the tables are candle-lit.
The air is filled with classic love song,
the couples are dancing and swirling around.
He holds me so tight in a hug,
that I can hear his heart beat...lub-dub, lub-dub.
He gives me a lingering kiss,
the first ever of me and his.
In my memory it will not be erased,
in my heart it will be deeply engraved.
I am treated like a queen,
hoping his love to me never wean,
until the day my hair turns silver and gray,
in many returns of this special loving day.
