Love: Will He Come Back? (Radha-34) Poem by Subrat Pradhan

Love: Will He Come Back? (Radha-34)

Do not search for me
I am not here in this air and water
I am not inside any body's heart
I am not in any body's daily livelihood.

And such a day will break in
When I will not be there
Away from everybody
I may be somewhere meditating
You may seek me everywhere
In the stars, in the flowers
In the day and night
In the gardens and mango grooves.

You may be fearing your shadows
You may be embracing others
Mistaking them to be me
How many ages will you be so?

Is there no truth
Other than to have me
And thinking so
Will you spend
All the time and birth
In searching for me
Everyday after the search
You may be returning
To the cowshed, to the cooking room
You your verandah outside.

While feeding in the cowshed
Tears might be rolling down
From your eyes
While wiping out tears
You might be telling so many things
And in the verandah outside
While searching for me
Through the horizon
The hairs on your head may be greying
Without care
You may be throwing rice to the cuckoo
In stead of crow
Will he come back?
How many times and for how many ages
Would you be asking the question yourself?
