Love With Disciple Poem by Ronald Strickland

Love With Disciple

I sat and listened as he talked of his childhood days,
and of the love and disciple that his father gave
that created the man that he is today.

My thoughts as i listened took me back
to my own childhood days and the love and discipline
that my parents gave.

Speak kindly treat others as you want to be treated,
Yes sir or mam, No sir or mam, please and thank you,
God bless you! if they sneezed.

I realize as i listened to his words gave truth
as to what and who I am today.

His works spoke of a time that has passed
with the disciple and love that makes
others who they are today.

I enjoyed his words and reminders as to who
I am and the love and disciple that makes
me proud of who I am.
