'The rank and file
of Flanders poppy flowers
are red'
sounds lovelier
said right
in French:
'Ils sont rouge,
les simples soldats
de les fleurs
du coquelicot Flamond.'
The odd pink one
is lovelier than those.
French for 'pink' is 'rose'.
