Loveliest Fingers Poem by Ima Ryma

Loveliest Fingers

Loveliest fingers I think I
Am gifted with, six on each hand.
Very proud this lemur aye-aye,
Each finger serves me on demand.
For example, my third one is
Used for tapping trees for insects.
Then my fourth digit does the biz
Of pulling out the bug collects.
The sixth, a pseudothumb, does aid
When I do have the need to grip.
All of my fingers are well made,
Twelve lovelies linked in fingership.

Loveliest fingers I think be
On the hands hooked onto me.
