Love's Cruelty Poem by April Humason

Love's Cruelty

In the realm of love, sanity wanes,
As hearts fill with sorrow's rains,
Eyes blurred by tears that stain,
Souls feel the weight, bound in chains.

Love's embrace turns cruel and cold,
The unusual paths we're forced to hold,
No fairytales of bliss unfold,
Only a cancerous tale is told.

Seconds crawl like endless days,
Lost in a daze, love's disarray,
Happiness veiled, lost in the haze,
Each tomorrow a miserable phase.

Hateful love drains all sanity,
Shattering hearts, a broken vanity,
Words escape in profane calamity,
As humanity's hopes face calamity.
