Loving Credit Card Debt? Poem by Manager Poet

Loving Credit Card Debt?

Rating: 5.0

A generation ago the term 'loan shark' was in vogue.
Today, the credit card industry has become the rogue.
How many offers of easy credit have you received?
For a generation who can't say no, we've been deceived.
We've sold our future to simply satisfy our present wants.
Department stores and restaurants have become our haunts.
Of course, no one makes us pull out and use the plastic.
However, is asking for mutual accountability just too drastic?
Maybe this is why the States used to put a limit on usury.
How much longer will the government allow this tomfoolery?
One more line and my credit rating will surely be screwed.
The credit card is certainly the monetary equivalent to junk food.

Oh and the interest rates they charge - outrageous!
