Loving In A Silence Of Wonder Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Loving In A Silence Of Wonder

Slinging arrows of cupid into the night, hoping to hit the
one I love, making them mine once again like years ago, al-
ways thinking of you, daydreaming, never letting go of your
image.

Hoping and praying that you would always and forever be mine,
alas, somehow we went our separate ways, living our lives
with other people, yet always thinking of one another calling
and talking on the phone.

At times meeting for lunch, yet we never connected except
deep in our souls and beings, loving each other in a silence
of wonder that we never could quite figure out through the
years.

Now in the twilight of our lives still loving and thinking
of one another, never having any room for another person in
our lives; a total mystery that we've never known the answer
to, just continuing as we've always done.
