Lowering One's Expectations Poem by james watkin

Lowering One's Expectations

Hope is an oasis, but what is
Hoped for a mirage has been!
True for love-visions, ripple-fleeting.
When pooled of a harem queen.

What if it were a well instead?
No such disillusions then!
Expectations now draw for love's
Desert-like search slave women!
