Lullaby Of The Damned Poem by David Blake

Lullaby Of The Damned

Dark slender shadows slowly across the night move
in search of light. Life denied they dare not dream.
Hope, foreign like far off unseen lands, serve only to
fuel their unending desire. Burning bright the rage
within consumes all the humanity that might once have
been. Absent love only hate and unending shame
now remain. Lost in the silence of the darkness the
shadows forever remain absent from the light.
