Luna´s Story Poem by Floy Dy Ra Aka Floyd Floydson

Luna´s Story

Rating: 5.0

When Ms. Luna tells her story, it must be New Moon, because it's about her scars on her face that have arisen in millions of years, over and over again, through impacts on her face and even her back which remained hidden to us until one day earthlings circled their dark side and then landed on it. The Earthlings hopped on Ms. Luna's face, furrowing her complexion with tire marks, and then left all her scrap on her. Yes, even mirrors for the distance measurement by laser beam, where Ms. Luna had first thought that they would laser the many scars, but far from it, they were named after craters and gave them names. And although the Earthlings were almost frozen and suffocated on their return journey, they want to dare to loot their treasures again after about 50 years or to start from there to other relatives. Yes, even water should be there, the basic substance of life. But Ms. Luna tells us a very different story, that of bombing, destruction and upheaval. A story of the extinction of life, of coldness in infinite space. From gravity and appeal. From sunlight and darkness. Of affinity and abandonment. From the moon. From circling to something bigger and heavier. Even from the blue planet. From gossamer atmosphere. From volcanoes and storms and oceans. From mountains and forests with streams and animals. Of plants and flowers. And also from the Earthlings who destroy everything over and over again, because they believe they could exploit it or even possess it. Yes, Ms. Luna knows all these stories. And when it shines as the full moon, it shows us what is left if we do not reflect, unify, and make peace. Then she shows her scarred face without all the beautiful wonders of being. And in the alternation of her splendor, she tells of the decrease and swelling of her splendor and lets us see all the other worlds starry when it is new moon and Luna's light has apparently disappeared in the shadow of her own size, in the shadow of the earth, as a warning against her own power and the shadow she creates. But this story tells Ms. Luna only to new moon. At full moon she shines and reflects us her splendor and if you listen closely, you hear her laugh at us...
