Lunar Bound Poem by Vision Ghost

Lunar Bound

Swift are the clouds, sweep the full moons splendour
Beneath my change is foreseen, as is the endeavour
To brace up so, for this agony of my transformation
Bend and stretch to fill my body, envelop emotion

Before my muscles contract and I scream, this torture
Ripping me from the insides, to the outer felt stature
Hairs pushed and prick through, my once human skin
From this person I am, to the beautiful animal akin

Soon I rest to this demise, lay for while bathed in dark
This lunar disc reflects, in my eyes to ignite the spark
Rising now to my feet, my body has now completed
Flex myself again, ultimate strength has been reached

Bound into night, thrashing through the night time silk
So much more life, within this supreme wolverine ilk
Senses teased by so much, of the cold night air musical
That I’m greater this way, the werewolf of the physical

Launch to all fours, as I hurtle through this forest maze
Shuttle to the hill, and charging to see the viewing gaze
Atop this scene, I reach back release my howling song
Pierce the tranquillity, of a deep night stretched so long

Human soul and the spirit, of the lycanthrope hold’s me
Partnered conjuring, of the ultimate taste of being free
Looking around at the city beneath me, so silent in sleep
Ponder on my next escapade, to seek further in the deep

Back to my biped posture, standing tall to wander on
I stalk for a nourishment, to satisfy the wolfing appetite
Seek the deer in the deeper forest, along and unaware
Tread lightly, down wind, cover my scent on the air

Before the launch to my chase, leaping to my prey
My victim so startled, to flee and somehow run away
Grip the body of this luxury, ripping skin with claws
Sinking teeth, gorge my need, a blood thirst devours
