Magical Rain Poem by Kwai Chee Low

Magical Rain

Rating: 4.8

Rain in cooling swathes of water
Drenches the grass a shining wet
Canopies of leaves dripping at every corner
A parade of umbrellas, their owners in a fret

Sweet respite from endless hot days
Without a shadow of a breeze
Vapor from heated roads leaves one in a daze
Dreams of a cool dip in the pool puts one at ease

Rain brings out delightful emotions
Romance, poetry, sound of violins
While sipping hot coffee like a love potion
As the sweet song of pattering raindrops begins
