Majority decision

once you become speaker
you become the non-partisan figure
take up the side with no one
and vote for no one

the speaker is after all speaker
no one can force or alter
his position when voting or ruling comes up
his verdict or in case of a tie is final full stop

no one can direct
or call upon to act
for the wishes of the ruling party
it is his function and acts as the judiciary

In the case of stalemate,
he makes checkmate
decides as per the procedure
and rules laid down there

he might have belonged to either part earlier
but now he is a neutral umpire
he will not see his past allegiance
but side with the majority decision once taken
