How can you make the sun shine
Where is my heart I've never seen
If my life is for a fleeting moment
Be my life, my love, help me dream

Make me feel there is something real
Be my light when the dark becomes me
Never let me love you incompletely
Don't ever cry if I set myself free

I have wandered in the shadow of self-pity
I know the dark I can find comforting
Once love was never spoken, then there was logic
The 'empty' became my everything, To believe

The love a woman feels makes me wonder
Should my heart sustain love when ever it needs
Shall the day come when I walk in the sunlight
Will this nightmare inside, finally leave
