Make My Own Normality Poem by Anonymus Girl

Make My Own Normality

I have to get through today
So I can make my dream reality
I don't need your bad advice
I'm working towards my own normality

I don't need to hear your words
Because I can make my own
Refusing to listen to your new plan
Look at all the oportunities I've thrown

Sometimes I want to run away
Like a river running towards somethig new
An idea that's screaming to be heard
The only thing blocking it is you

So get out of my way for once
Let me repair all the damage
Leave me alone to make up my own mind
Don't worry about me, I'll manage

I think your scared that I won't come back
And you should be, Coz I won't
You always try to justify your actions
Don't talk, don't hurt, just don't

Try living without me here
Just know I followed my dreams
Don't ever try to call me again
No matter how hard your life seems

Think of the things you did to me
You made my life pure hell
Life doesn't have do overs, baby
And you know that all too well

I'm going to live on for tomorrow
So I can make my dream a reality
Without you always in my head
I've made my own normality

And making our own normality can be a scary thing. Going out into the world to live our dreams is what we all want but there are lots of times we never see those dreams realized in our lifetime. This is a wonderful poem of moving on, but you also have to realize too that the world is a scary place and we need to be very careful when we are on our own. Your chosen words, whomever they were written for, should be a wake up call for that person. I said should be, not is. A 10+++++ and thank you for sharing. Love & hugs, Barbara
