Man, I'M About To Meet Poem by Alice Cordy

Man, I'M About To Meet

I’m getting on a plane,
wondering if I’m going insane.
We haven’t met before.
So should I run for the door?

To meet this man,
Whom is obsessed about this woman.
Only met,
via the internet.
It scares me to a point,
as I am not a saint.

Gazing out the window,
My mind leaves me in limbo.
Heart pounding a thousand miles,
thoughts of your glee and smiles.
Butterflies in my tummy,
as you foresee this sexy mummy.

We’ve talked for hours,
Honest about our true colours
Texting how you feel,
Which is ever so surreal.

It’s a weekend away,
and it scares me to say.
Your obsession is scaring me
I hope you can see.

Time to relax,
with a friend to the max.
We‘ll enjoy our days
in the sun rays.
As we build a friendship
that will last after this trip.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Took a gamble to meet a man, ever so nervous. It was fully worth the gamble.
