Man Of The Night - Poem by Travis Bell
A unknown man runs alone
A unlikely man crosses my path.
A late night free bird weighed down with the baggage of his existence.
A snake slithers sideways across the road.
My first instinct is to press forward.
Not without much thought, my initial conclusion is overridden.
The man of the night owns a double portion of pride.
Trying to help a man that needs rescue.
This is useless like chasing the wind.
