Man Sent To The Earth By The Merciful God! Poem by Mohammad Younus

Man sent to the earth by the merciful God!
To the assembly of angels He had declared:
'Man is my vicegerant on the earth...
...to do my job that I schedule;
I've given him knowledge supreme...
...which you not know at all;
Who says Man was externed by a wrathful God?
It was the secret divine agenda...
...to give man dominion over earth...
...beneath which the streams of paradise flow;
Man has not fallen from the Heaven!
On earth he was born!
On earth he lives!
On earth he will live!
To do the new and newer jobs of God!
Man chosen to do God's will on earth...
...is nourished by Him...
...with knowledge and wisdom;
But in truth the Perfect man...
...not imperfect men...
...who are bereft of divine intellect:
Who have hearts with which they fail to grasp the truth;
Who have eyes with which they fail to see; and
Who have ears with which they fail to hear;
They are like cattle!
Nay, they are even less conscious of the right way!
It is they, they who are the [truly] heedless!
