Many Greats Of Human History Poem by Francis Duggan

Many Greats Of Human History

Many greats of human history have come to and from life have gone
But life in the World as usual goes on
Many who thought they were irreplaceable in cemeteries lay
And life it does go on without them today
And whether our last remains are buried or in a crematorium to ashes burn
We are part of Nature and to Mother Earth we return
When the Reaper of lives does come reaping our way
And we breathe our last on some night or day
Today's very young and teenagers and those in their physical prime
Will like all of those before them eventually run out of time
Though most human beings outlive their youthful elan
The longest lived human life in time not a long span
Everyone is replaceable despite what some think or say
And for all of us there is a last night and day.
