Many Hearts - One World Poem by Leonard Dabydeen

Many Hearts - One World

*Gandhi's philosophy speaks of
All religion in One World - One
God: faith, truth, love.

There is spiritual theme resonant
Where bull frog is croaking by waterside;
This is where the devil is compliant.

Nothing is more so rich and elegant,
Just to listen to Christian hearts subside;
There is spiritual theme resonant.

Oft you wonder, there's an algae pageant
As Muslims sing in rhythm silent tide;
This is where the devil is compliant.

But low and behold when wind is fluent
In chanting Hindu bhajan for a ride,
There is spiritual theme resonant.

Altogether the hearts play jubilant,
Dark in the night, croaking in soulful pride;
This is where the devil is compliant.

Sometimes it's heard of virus variant,
Knowing of many hearts in one world wide;
There is spiritual theme resonant,
This is where the devil is compliant.
