Marathon Of Confusion Poem by Dorsey Baker

Marathon Of Confusion

Your belly
cannot stomach
the lies
it wants to throw up!
and rid itself of the pain
the mask the illusion
masquerading as truth
a parade in the darkness
would welcome
the moon or a blanket of stars
but without any light
it cannot see its reflection
or know where it is going
so it is with an attempt
to disguise reality
that we run
a marathon of confusion!
