Marcel And Edith Poem by Ima Ryma

Marcel And Edith

They were the toast of Paris town,
Marcel Cerdan, a boxer great,
Edith Piaf sang to renown.
Lovers destined for an ill fate
When Marcel in a plane crash died,
As Edith waited for him to
Rejoin her and be at her side.
'Hymn to Love' Edith sang as true
Tribute to and faith in Marcel
With angels he awaited her.
For eternity both would dwell,
Reunited in love for sure.

Now in heaven Edith does sing,
As Marcel's sparring in the ring.
