Marcus Aurelius * Poem by james watkin

Marcus Aurelius *

This universal existence
To what farthest away starred
Is that bright spread out
Does on its axle of Change
As some giant silver wheel
Grateless turn about.

Our life, though inseparable
Wordly attached, as to one
Dimensional spoke
Is what our thoughts make of it.
Dizzy delight; or what bouts
Of nausea provoke.
