Marionette Poem by Sonny Rainshine

Marionette

I am your marionette,
your puppet. What merits
consideration, though,
is not you, who wields the strings
or me, willingly manipulated,
but the tension
and tautness of the string
that connects us.
Can it contain
the strain?
