We shared a dream, a goal,
To show how it is and was.
From the heart and soul,
To explain ‘his' cause.
We were Martial Arts ‘messengers',
Spreading ‘his' cause and way.
To teach our desires,
Practically we tried to convey.
Endless hours we debated,
All set and ready, reality planned.
Yes the ‘classical' we slated,
Tradition we damned.
Paradoxically, ‘they' we had to attract, !
Therefore we openly couldn't attack.
Trying to ‘convert' the masses,
Show them the cause of their ‘ignorance'.!
Occasional potential, bouts of flashes.
Trying patience, undermining our substance.
In the end sentimentality,
Was not enough.
It proved not viable commercially,
Our dream we had to give up.
