Martin Luther King: A Freedom Soul Assassinated Poem by Terence George Craddock

Martin Luther King: A Freedom Soul Assassinated

Martin Luther King inspired
by Christian beliefs promoted
civil rights nonviolent resistance

through civil disobedience
lead public peace marches
gave 'I Have a Dream' speech

'We hold these truths to be self-evident:
that all men are created equal.'
equality has a timeless vitality

apparently a scary conception
in once segregated racial America
Martin was shot by a sniper

killed assassinated for dreams
of racial civil rights equality
peace makers inspire in legacy...
